Fernando Gago is the new coach of Boca Juniors. The 38-year-old coach is the sixth coach in the era of Juan Roman Riquelme as a strong man in the destiny of the club from La Ribera. The former midfielder accepted the challenge of returning to the club where he began his football career, leaving Chivas de Guadalajara where he had arrived in January of this year.

“In the last few hours, Gago communicated to the board his decision to return to Argentina together with his coaching staff,” says part of the statement from the Mexican club, which confirmed the departure of the Argentine coach, after days of rumors and also a categorical public denial from Gago himself, about his possible departure to the xeneize club.
