American pop band LANY delighted Filipino fans by serving food at a Jollibee restaurant.

Footage shows the band members, vocalist Paul Klein and drummer Jake Goss, from California, working on the cashier's counter with the beloved red bee mascot in Manila, the Philippines, on October 11.

Excited fans screamed as the 'Malibu Nights' artists accepted orders and processed them on the computer with the help of fast food staff members.

The Jollibee store was also crowded with diners, causing a long queue of hundreds of people waiting outside to catch a glimpse of the trio.

One of the fans who attended the event, Shayra Eunice Manuel, said: 'The concert organisers announced that LANY would be serving at Jollibee, and we went there. I met Paul Klein and was so happy that he noticed me.'

The American pop musicians arrived in the Philippines last week for their 'A Beautiful Blur' world tour, which includes shows this year in the UK, Hong Kong, and Australia.

The concept of fast food was introduced to the Philippines through American military presence during and after World War II.

Jollibee was founded in 1978 as an ice cream parlour and expanded to burgers and spaghetti. The menu was adapted to Filipino tastes, incorporating local flavours in a bizarre fusion of Western and Southeast Asian cuisine.

The chain is now part of the national consciousness.
