STORYLINE:

The final of China International College Students' Innovation Competition 2024 was held on Tuesday in Shanghai.

This year's competition attracted over 20 million college students from 153 countries and regions.

The competition aims to provide a platform for college students from home and abroad to engage in innovation, entrepreneurship, exchanges and cooperation.

A team from Shanghai Jiao Tong University secured the top prize.

SOUNDBITE 1 (Chinese): LYV CHENXIN, PhD student at Shanghai Jiao Tong University
"I think the biggest takeaway is that our team has completed a phased summary, which serves as a great milestone for us. It allows us to reflect on what we've achieved over the past few years and clearly see what we need to do in the next few years, in the next decade, and in the next 20 years."

SOUNDBITE 2 (Chinese): FU ZHI, PhD student at Tsinghua University
"There is still much room for improvement, including during the competition itself, but I believe today's event had significant educational value. Looking ahead, I think we should continue to focus on our own work and refine our products. After today's roadshow, many people have already registered on our platform, and many are trying out our products."
