STORYLINE:

The China-Central Asia Smart Agriculture Industry Technology Exchange Forum was held from Tuesday to Thursday in Jinan city of east China's Shandong Province. About 40 experts and scholars from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries were in attendance.
   
The participants commended China's remarkable achievements in the fields of agricultural robotics and smart agricultural information technology. They concluded that the cooperation between China and Central Asian countries in smart agriculture will promote the sharing of technical resources and support regional agricultural growth.

"Today we are learning, we are getting experience on Chinese smart agriculture, which means automation, which means robotics, which means Internet of Things, which are going to farms and farmers, applying these elements of technology in daily work, that gives you security on the food processing, on food growing and the vegetation management."
   
The Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology and Shandong Academy of Sciences have enjoyed a long-standing partnership, resulting in several successful collaborations in agriculture, particularly in areas like intelligent agricultural machinery and automation technology. During the forum, attendees expressed high hopes for future cooperation in smart agriculture.

"The two sides will be, let's say win-win case cooperation, because we have good academic (personnel), good professors and engineers already working on agriculture science, and agriculture field and protecting of the crops, not only cotton, but also vegetables and fruits and processing of food. So we will have good cooperation between Chinese technologies and Uzbek scientists."
   
The participants believed that the Belt and Road Initiative has created opportunities for collaboration between China and Central Asian countries. They noted that cooperation in areas such as green and sustainable development, as well as agricultural development, has become increasingly strong, which will provide valuable insights and support for the high-quality development of regional agriculture.

"We are trying to develop more technologies in agriculture. And we saw that in China, they have smart robotics techniques which will be used in the agriculture sector and which will be optimizing every industrial process in the agriculture sector. And also our main goal in all these scientific researches -- we should support sustainable development, and we should support low-carbon development in using every technology and every mechanism."
