During the 6th World Media Summit, global media leaders went on tours in different parts of Xinjiang. Now, follow me and foreign journalists to experience the vibrant culture, delicious food, and breathtaking scenery in Yili and Bortala of Northwest Xinjiang.

"Hello. Now I'm at the Kazanqi culture tourism area in Yining city, where flocks of pigeons just flutter right above my head."

There are more than 20,000 households and nearly 120,000 residents from various ethnic groups living in the area. The long-standing integration of different groups has made it a distinctive multi-ethnic area with diverse cultures.

"Now people from different ethnic groups are all dressed in traditional costumes and dancing together to welcome guests from across the world.
Here, you can also hop on a horse carriage and tour around Kazanqi, easy and chill.
Kazanqi means 'pot maker' in Uygur. In the past, this area was a hub for making and selling all sorts of handicrafts.
Kazanqi has such a vibrant vibe, and is known for its bright colors on the architecture. Windows, doors, walls... everything is so colorful.
Many locals in Kazanqi have opened their residences to tourists for family visits. Their houses have become living museums of local culture, where tourists can learn about their everyday life and customs. Today, let's go to one of the families and visit their daily life."

"Hello. Now I'm at the Sayram Lake. It's the largest alpine lake in Xinjiang and also the highest one with an altitude of over 2,000 meters.
Walking by the rocky beach, locals say that this is one of the few areas of the Sayram Lake that never freeze all year round due to the undercurrents."
