Bus overturns and lands in pond in India
A bus overturned and landed in a pond in India.
Footage shows the passenger vehicle submerged in the water as policemen check for any passengers inside.
Reports indicate that the speeding coach, carrying around 50 passengers, lost control and fell into a water-filled pit near Santosh on the Khagaria-Alauli main road on October 17.
Authorities also noted that the bus driver and conductor have absconded, and police are actively searching for them.
An investigation is underway to determine why the vehicle lost control.
In another incident, a double-decker bus overturned, killing a farmer and injuring dozens on a roadside in Telangana on September 21.
Twenty passengers were also injured on September 30 when a bus lost control and collided with a canter truck on the Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway.
