Gaza - October 15, 2024

The Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has reached 42,500, the Gaza-based health authorities said in a statement released on Friday.

Over the past 24 hours, 62 people were killed in Israel's military actions in Gaza. The Israeli attacks also wounded 300 others, taking the number of total injuries to near 10,000 since the current round of Palestinian-Israeli conflict broke out in early October 2023, said the statement.

The Hamas-run Gaza government media office also stated that at least 33 Palestinians were killed on Friday evening by an Israeli airstrike on the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

Among the killed were 21 women, and total fatalities may reach 50 as many victims have been trapped under rubble and buildings. The bombing injured over 85 people, some of whom sustained serious injuries, the media office said in a statement.

The data released on Friday evening reported that 39 people were killed by Israeli strikes on the blockaded enclave since the early hours of the same day.
