Near Misses: Intense High School Soccer Match in Indonesia Ends in a Draw
The Indonesian high school soccer scene was electric as a thrilling match unfolded. In Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, a defender from MAN 2 Bukittinggi delivered a precise long ball to their striker. With a burst of speed, the forward dribbled past multiple defenders and unleashed a low shot that was narrowly saved.
Undeterred, the opposing team countered with a swift attack. The SMAP goalkeeper launched a long punt forward, which was chased down by their left winger. A powerful shot was struck, but it soared high above the crossbar, much to the disappointment of the crowd.
This incredible miss sent the match to a penalty shootout, where MAN 2 Bukittinggi win 3-1.
