10/20/2024 01:27 am (GMT-0700) | FONTANA, Calif. – CHP officers from the Rancho Cucamonga Area office and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision with one person trapped on the 13800 block of Whittram Avenue in the city of Fontana.
Once officers and firefighters arrived on the scene, they located a jeep that had crashed and was stuck underneath a trailer with the driver trapped. Firefighters were able to free the trapped driver, but the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by firefighters and paramedics.
It is unknown at this time if speed or alcohol was a factor in the crash. CHP closed east and westbound lanes as they investigated the fatal crash.
