Footage shows Philippine soldiers jumping from a Philippine Air Force (PAF) Black Hawk helicopter in a joint exercise in Isabela province, the Philippines, on October 9.

The free fall drill was part of the Interoperability Exercise 03-24 held by the Philippine army and air force in Gamu Town.

More than 1,000 personnel joined the five-day training, which also included command post exercises, subject matter expert exchanges, and field training exercises.

Colonel Ma. Consuelo Castillo, PAF public affairs chief, said in a statement: 'These activities, designed to refine joint combat and tactical operations, underscored the Philippine military's readiness for coordinated missions across multiple domains.'

The Philippines has also been holding joint military drills with allied nations like the US, Japan, France, Australia, and Canada, amid territorial tensions with neighbouring China over parts of the South China Sea.
