On October 19, in Tai'an, Shandong, a robot dog carrying a heavy load was tested on the steps and rugged terrain of the Mount Tai Scenic Area. This initiative, introduced by the Tai'an Cultural Tourism Group's property management company, aims to improve the efficiency of goods and waste transportation in the scenic area.

Mount Tai receives a large number of visitors each year, generating vast amounts of waste, making cleaning and transportation a significant challenge.

Due to the area's complex terrain, traditional mechanical methods cannot be widely implemented, and waste collection has long relied on manual labor. To address this issue, the property management company introduced the robot dog for field testing, exploring how technology can enhance sanitation work.

During the test, the robot dog demonstrated impressive load-carrying capacity and agility, easily carrying nearly 80 pounds of weight while navigating the steps and rough terrain of Mount Tai. It moved smoothly, both uphill and downhill, with powerful limbs and precise control. Additionally, the robot dog featured a voice announcement function, adding a touch of fun to the testing process.

The test attracted significant attention from tourists, who gathered to watch and were impressed by the robot dog’s performance. Some commented that it showcases the power of technology, bringing new energy to environmental efforts at the Mount Tai Scenic Area. Others joked that perhaps, in the future, visitors might ride the robot dog up Mount Tai.

The Tai'an Cultural Tourism Group’s property management company stated that this test was an initial trial, and they will continue exploring more technological solutions to improve the service quality and environmental standards of the scenic area. They hope that, through the power of technology, Mount Tai will become even more beautiful and welcoming.
