A plane made an emergency landing when a cabin was filled with smoke in China.

Shenzhen Airlines flight ZH9138 took off from Shijiazhuang bound for Shenzhen when passengers noticed smoke inside the aircraft on October 18.

The pilot turned around and made an emergency landing at the same facility it had taken off from, the Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport in Hebei.

Footage shows passengers fleeing the Airbus A320 by sliding on the inflatable aircraft escape slides. The incident caused panic among individuals aboard the flight.

The airline is now reportedly conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the smoke. The passengers were put on a later flight and all reached their destination safely.
