Fire destroys supermarket and row of shops in India
A large fire destroyed a supermarket when it broke out in a row of shops in India.
Footage shows a plume of smoke rising from the commercial building in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, on October 20 around noon.
Chief Fire Officer S.K. Singh stated that the blaze began in a slipper and shoe showroom on the complex's ground floor. Authorities confirmed that approximately six shops were engulfed in flames.
Local media reported that a stampede occurred in the area following the incident.
Six fire engines responded, and the flames were brought under control after about half an hour.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause and extent of the damage from the fire.
