This hilarious video captures the moment a daring black cat attempts to make a daring leap onto a shed roof - and is left hanging.

The Ring camera footage shows the cat making a 'superhero' jump from a ledge onto a shed roof.

However, the moggy doesn't quite make it and is left hanging precariously on the edge, trying to swing itself back to safety.

The acrobatic cat hung on for an impressive one minute and 19 seconds, before admitting defeat and deciding to drop to the ground.

Paul from Essex captured the nail-biting moment on his Ring camera, which was set up in his garden.

Paul said: "This is not my cat but a frequent visitor to my garden."

"It was absolutely fine after its little escapade, and it continues to come into my garden."

"As for my reaction, I felt a bit sorry for him/her, it looked a bit embarrassed, especially when it looked at the camera."
