US, Los Angeles: Apple Valley 1 Dead$After Vehicle Versus Pedestrian Hit and Run
Los Angeles, United States - October 21, 2024 10/21/2024 10:17 pm (GMT-0700) APPLE VALLEY, Calif. – On Monday, October 21, 2024, at approximately 10:16 p.m., a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision was reported east of Pohez Road on Outer Highway 18 South in the town of Apple Valley. Upon arrival, medical personnel located one female struck by a vehicle suffering from severe injuries. A good Samaritan, seen on KNN video speaking with an officer, had called 911 and reported that a female had been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. There is no vehicle description or direction of travel reported by officials. The female victim was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center and was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries. Officers with the Major Accident Investigation Team processed the scene for evidence for approximately five hours.
