US, Los Angeles: West Los Angeles Major Flooding at Housing For Homeless Individuals
Los Angeles, United States - October 22, 2024 10/22/2024 01:54 am (GMT-0700) WEST LOS ANGELES – LAFD responded to an apartment building in the 11000 block of West Santa Monica Boulevard for reports of flooding. When crews arrived at the scene, they found major flooding on the second and third floors of the building. Firefighters determined that an overstuffed toilet in one of the units caused the flooding. The LAFD also notified the LAPD of a tenant dispute. According to the LAFD, approximately 19 occupants were impacted by the flooding. It is unclear how many took advantage of the Red Cross's response to help. The building was reported to house homeless individuals.
