Five dead from building collapse in Bangalore, India

Rescue teams search through the rubble today of a building that collapsed, killing at least five and and injuring 13 others in India.

CCTV from a neighbouring office shows how the structure gave way during heavy rain in Horamavu Agara near Hennur in Banglore in the south of the country on October 22,

Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) arrived at the scene where they began pulling those trapped under the debris to safety.

Officials said one man was pronounced dead at the scene. A further four were later confirmed dead and 13 were rescued from the debris.

The city has been grappling with relentless rainfall for three days, leading to widespread flooding and disruption.
