Tree Found Smoking in the Middle of the Woods

Info from Licensor: "We were trail riding through the woods in Wisconsin and came across a tree smoking. The weather had been super dry with no storms for a month or two, so I don't think it was lightning. What would cause this? We were thinking while coming upon it that it was someone's cigarette since the tree was right in the trail at rider height. But who knows. We did put it completely out after the video with lots of water and some beer and let the proper people know about it and what we found."
