This is the tense moment a yellow diamond was removed from a child's ear during emergency surgery in China.

The mother discovered the foreign object in her two-year-old child's right ear while cleaning it in Jiaozuo, Henan, on October 18.

After attempting to touch it, the child began to cry, prompting the panicked mother to rush her to the hospital.

Doctors found that the object had sharp edges and, due to the narrow ear canal, feared that any struggle from the child could damage the eardrum.

They decided to use general anesthesia for the procedure.

In just 50 seconds, they successfully removed the diamond, which was about the size of a one-carat stone but turned out to be a toy.

The mother was shocked and had no idea when her child inserted it, but she was relieved that it was removed in time to avoid serious consequences.
