This is the moment bungling builders demolished a toilet, unaware that a fellow worker was inside.

Footage from the site in Jiangxi, southeast China, shows an excavator destroying a temporary outdoor toilet on October 10.

Without warning, workers brought down the digger's claw onto the roof of the lavatory, ripping away the ceiling and walls and crushing their colleague on the ground after apparently striking him on his hard hat.

The shocked worker still has his trousers down as he was sent sprawling face in the rubble.

Clearly startled, he stood up, put on his blue hard hat, pulled up his trousers, and fastened his belt.

He also checked himself for injuries, seemingly disbelieving that he had survived the violent destruction of the toilet without serious harm.

Finally, he examined himself for cuts and bruises as the clip ended.
