China: Van Spins Out, Launching Unbelted Driver Through Passenger Window
Taizhou, China - August 06, 2024
A terrifying accident struck on August 6 in Huangyan District, where a collision at a village intersection sent a van spinning out of control. At approximately 4:18 p.m., Dong, the van's driver, collided with a sedan, causing the van to spin counterclockwise. Without a seatbelt, Dong was thrown from the driver’s seat and jumped out through the passenger-side window during the rapid rotation.
Miraculously, Dong avoided life-threatening injuries as his head did not hit the ground upon landing. Traffic police issued a stark reminder: "Seatbelt = Lifeline. Buckle up every time, all passengers, all the way."
