Dog escapes pet salon mid-haircut and roams street looking like runaway princess in wedding dress
On October 21, in Huai'an, China's Jiangsu Province, a dog getting a haircut at a pet salon suddenly made a run for it.
According to the pet shop owner, the dog was undergoing a grooming session when it possibly became uncomfortable or frightened. Taking advantage of a moment of inattention from the staff, the dog broke free and bolted out of the shop.
Since the haircut was incomplete, with its front half shaved smooth and the back half still covered in fur, the dog looked like it had "half-taken off its clothes," catching the attention of passersby due to its unique appearance.
Upon realising the dog was missing, the pet shop owner immediately posted a lost dog notice on social media, including photos and details in hopes that someone could help locate it. The post quickly gained attention, with many netizens sharing it and jokingly referring to the dog as a "runaway princess in a wedding dress."
Thanks to the help of the online community, a kind citizen soon found the dog hiding in a nearby park, looking a bit anxious. The citizen contacted the pet shop owner, and the dog was safely returned to the salon.
Once back at the salon, the dog calmed down after being reassured by the owner and staff, and the grooming session was successfully completed. The owner stated that going forward, they would pay closer attention to pets' emotional states during grooming to prevent such incidents from happening again.
