In a significant recovery effort in eastern India's Odisha, teams from NDRF and ODRAF have begun clearing the damage caused by Cyclone Dana's aftermath, even as the storm continues.

The incident took place in Kamaria Bazar and Santapura Bazar of Tihidi town in Bhadrak district on October 25.

Visuals showed officials removing large uprooted trees that had blocked main roads, hindering commute amidst strong winds and rainy weather. The fallen trees had severely impacted mobility, and the officials worked in challenging conditions to restore access.

According to reports, the restoration work began early Friday morning, as both NDRF and ODRAF teams cleared roads in the coastal districts of Odisha, especially in Bhadrak. Despite the ongoing landfall process, the teams focused on removing debris to reopen critical routes. The Higher Education Minister of Odisha, Suryabanshi Suraj, who oversees Bhadrak district, stated that widespread damage to electrical infrastructure had occurred due to falling trees. Officials are working to restore power as well.
