Shahdol, India - October 25, 2024
A horse was involved in a serious accident in central India’s Madhya Pradesh and was immediately rescued by Atal Kamadhenu Gausewa Sansthan.
The incident took place near Government ITI on Rewa Road, Shahdol on October 25.
Visuals showed an injured horse was carefully lifted into an auto-rickshaw, its condition visibly distressing. The horse appeared to be in pain, with its legs trembling and its eyes wide, indicating fear and confusion. As the vehicle sped towards the rescue center, the horse swayed slightly, struggling to remain upright. Upon arrival, the rescue team quickly attended to its wounds, applying ointment to the grazes while providing gentle reassurance. The atmosphere was tense, filled with urgency as the team worked to alleviate the horse's suffering.
Witnesses reported that the horse sustained injuries in the accident and required urgent medical attention. The dedicated team led by Gaurav Ralhi Mishra including volunteers Rishabh Barman, Avneesh Dubey, and Kartik Tiwari, rushed to the scene to ensure the animal received necessary treatment. After administering first aid, they transported the injured horse to their facility using an autorickshaw for further care.
The swift response from the Atal Kamadhenu Gausewa Sansthan highlights the organization’s commitment to animal welfare and its efforts to protect and care for stray animals in the region.
