SOUNDBITE (English): MARKO CADEZ, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
"It is really a very important initiative for our country, but also for all countries that are members of the initiative. Because it connects the regions from western China to Southeast Asia, with Eastern Europe, Central Europe, and Western Europe.
This is a logistic initiative for trade, for better infrastructure, for better connectivity, but that alone, I think, is not enough for the future.
What we need is a layer of exchanging or cooperating on new technologies. Now we are coming to the next steps, how to connect more and how to go beyond only trade and infrastructure, how to exchange ideas, how to bring new ideas and new innovations into the alliance."
