US: Marines’ King Stallion Soars with Huge Tractor in High-Stakes Drill

U.S. Marines showcased the sheer power of the CH-53K King Stallion helicopter, executing a heavy lift of a massive, multi-purpose TRAM (tractor, rubber-tired, articulated steering) during a dramatic training exercise.
The operation, conducted near Auxiliary Airfield II as part of the Weapons and Tactics Instructor course 1-25, demonstrated the elite capabilities of Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One and allied units.
The seven-week WTI event tests the operational integration of Marine aviation’s six key functions, enhancing support for the Marine Air Ground Task Force and partner forces.
