This is the shocking moment pet owners fought over letting a dog off its leash at an upmarket park in India.

Footage shows two women in a heated exchange with an elderly couple in the Hyde Park society in Sector 78, Noida, on Thursday evening, October 24. The older pair alleged that the dog was brought out without a leash.

In the clip, one woman can be seen slapping an elderly man amid the argument while his wife continues to speak. The person recording the video is heard urging nearby residents to intervene and prevent further escalation.

Police stated that following a complaint from the elderly man, a case of assault and criminal intimidation was filed at the Sector 113 police station. However, after the girl apologized to him, the matter was resolved, and the case was settled on Friday morning.

An investigation revealed that around 9.30 pm on Thursday, two sisters, residents of X Tower in The Hyde Park complex, were out walking their pet dog in the society premises.

A police officer said: 'As they walked near the children's playground, one of the sisters, a law student, unleashed her dog. When residents noticed the dog roaming freely in the playground, they raised concerns.'

The situation intensified when the dog approached the three-year-old daughter of a resident from V Tower, prompting them to shout in alarm.

The officer added that following the residents' objections, the dispute escalated, leading one of the sisters to slap the woman who had initially raised her voice.

He added: 'When the woman's in-laws arrived at the scene after hearing the commotion, they attempted to calm the situation.'

The cop also noted that the senior citizen was slapped twice while trying to separate his daughter-in-law and the sisters.
