A monkey injured by an electric shock was revived by veterinarians in India.

Authorities found that the burned primate after it came into contact with a current in a transformer near Gharaula Mohalla Sai Temple in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh, on October 25.

The Atal Kamdhenu Gau Sewa Sansthan team, led by the NGO's chairman, Gaurav Mishra, assisted in the treatment.

The animal was transported to the institute with the help of Forest Department Deputy Ranger Shri Mathura Singh.

In another incident, a monkey was also electrocuted while searching for food on the roof of a home before being revived by vets in the same state on September 18.

A medic administered medicine and treated its injuries before taking it to their facility.
