Huge alligator emerges on tarmac at airport in Florida
This is the shocking moment a huge alligator emerged on the tarmac at an airport in Florida.
Footage shows the 10ft reptile roaming near the Gulfstream G450 private jets at Orlando Executive Airport on Sunday, October 20.
In the video, one of the workers attempts to guide the creature away from nearby aircraft. They successfully ushered it into a nearby ditch without the incident affecting any flights from the airstrip.
Florida has a huge wild alligator population estimated to be as many as 1.3 million. They live in rivers, swamps, ponds and lakes and often appear in front of humans.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission found that female alligators typically do not grow beyond 10ft, while males can reach even larger sizes. The state record stands at 14ft 3.5 inches.
