This is the shocking moment a mother is crushed between her car and the garage door after leaving her toddler inside with the engine running.

Surveillance footage shows the mum exiting her electric vehicle outside a garage in Bozhou, Anhui, China, on October 21, with her young child left alone inside.

The kid then accidentally starts the car moving, causing it to crash into her as she opens the garage door.

Initially, she becomes wedged between the car and the roller door. Seconds later, the car smashes a giant hole through the door, pushing the young mother forward and inside the garage.

The woman is then freed and quickly gets up, walks around the moving car and takes her crying child out of the vehicle.

Reports indicate that she sustained only minor superficial injuries and was otherwise fine.
