North Korea: 74th anniversary of Chinese People's Volunteers entering war commemorated
Pyongyang, North Korea - October 25, 2024
Chinese diplomats and representatives visited the China-Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Friendship Tower and laid wreaths there on Friday to commemorate martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers.
Friday marks the 74th anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers entering the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea.
On Friday morning, diplomats from the Embassy of China to the DPRK, representatives from Chinese-funded institutions, media, overseas Chinese nationals, and Chinese students in the country gathered at the tower solemnly to commemorate the martyrs. They sang the national anthem of China, payed their tribute in silence and laid wreaths at the tower.
Following the wreath-laying ceremony, Chinese Ambassador Wang Yajun, along with other visitors, entered the tower to view the exhibition honoring the history of Chinese People's Volunteers resisting invaders and assisting in the DPRK's post-war reconstruction.
