A grandmother in Puning, China's Guangdong Province, believed to be 107 years old has drawn widespread attention due to a unique horn-like growth on her forehead, affectionately called the "longevity horn" by local residents.

The elderly woman, surnamed Chen, was reportedly born on May 25, 1917. The horn has been growing for several years and now measures about 10 centimetres. Despite this unusual growth, her health remains excellent, and she has a very optimistic outlook. Her family reports that she is healthy, has a good appetite, and leads a normal life. Although the horn looks unusual, it hasn’t significantly affected her daily life.

Medical experts explain that this growth is identified as a cutaneous horn, a skin condition often found in older adults, which may be linked to prolonged sun exposure and excessive UV radiation. While cutaneous horns are generally benign, there is a potential risk of malignancy. Doctors recommend consulting a physician promptly for unusual skin growths, bumps, or protrusions.
