A swift rescue operation led by an NGO successfully extricated a cow that had fallen into a drain in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.


The incident took place in Shahdol district on October 27.


Visuals showed a dedicated team of rescuers gathered around a drain where a cow had fallen. Despite the challenge posed by the cow's weight, the group worked tirelessly to lift her out. Using ropes and their combined strength, they coordinated their efforts, pulling together with determination. The scene was filled with urgency as onlookers offered encouragement. After several attempts, their perseverance paid off, and the cow was successfully and safely hoisted out of the drain, much to everyone's relief.


Gaurav Ralhi Mishra, the founder of Atal Kamdhenu Gau Seva Sansthan, spearheaded the rescue efforts alongside a dedicated team that included cow protectors Sarthak Mishra, Pandit Ji, Ajay Sondhiya, Rahul Keval, and municipal worker Anand Yadav, along with a group of sanitation workers.


The team worked diligently for over an hour, employing various techniques to safely lift the cow out of the drain. Their efforts culminated in success, with the cow being safely extracted and provided care.


This incident underscores the importance of community involvement in animal welfare and the critical role organizations like Atal Kamdhenu Gau Seva Sansthan play in promoting the safety of animals in urban environments.
