Balinese maidens performed with wide eyes and synchronous hand movements in an oddly terrifying traditional dance.

Footage shows the female dancers wearing similar gold headdresses and dresses while striking eerily similar facial expressions during the exhibition in Indonesia.

They slightly tilted their heads and moved their eyes to look at the side before standing up to spin. The performers made expressive hand gestures while gracefully moving on stage in unison.

Local Gede Suanda said: 'Other than nature, tourists can also watch the beautiful Balinese dance.'

Legong is a traditional Balinese dance performed by women in elaborate gold suits. The performers make fluid hand and eye movements with intricate gestures.
