Forest Department Rescues Two Leopard Cubs Trapped in Water Tanker in Himachal Pradesh

Script:

In a dramatic rescue operation in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh, two leopard cubs were safely removed from an open water tanker by the Forest Department with the assistance of local villagers. The incident took place late at night at the Jal Shakti Department’s water tanks near Eklavya Model Residential School in Nichar.

When villagers discovered the cubs in the morning, they immediately informed the police and the forest authorities. As the rescue began, the cubs appeared frightened and became aggressive. The team initially used a large timber to create a makeshift slide, allowing one of the cubs to climb out on its own. However, the second cub was more hesitant, so the rescuers deployed a large bucket wrapped with ropes, allowing the cub to safely cling to it as it was lifted out.

After a 2-3 hour effort, both cubs were successfully rescued and returned to the forest. This swift operation highlights the dedication of the Forest Department and the supportive involvement of the local community.
