Cote d'Ivoire hosted its first Natural Rubber Day celebration in Abidjan from Thursday to Saturday.
Participants from Asia, Europe and Africa held exchanges on topics such as the sustainable development challenges and future market strategies facing the natural rubber industry.

In 2023, Cote d'Ivoire's natural rubber production reached 1.68 million tons, making it the largest rubber producer in Africa, accounting for 80 percent of the African continent and ranking third in the world.
In 2024, Cote d'Ivoire's natural rubber production is expected to increase further by 12 percent to 1.88 million tons.
