STORYLINE:

International students from central Asian countries studying at Ningxia University in China's Ningxia, shared their study experience and impressions of China.

SOUNDBITE 1 (Chinese): GYLYCHDURDYYEVA AYJEREN, Turkmen student studying at Ningxia University
"Actually, I have been interested in Chinese culture since I was little. Back then, when she (my older sister) went to China, she got used to life there, returned home, and told me about it-how warm and welcoming the people are and how amazing the teachers are. She really influenced me, so I came to China to study. During summer and winter vacations, we often travel to big cities. China is a developing country, and things here are quite convenient. After graduation, staying in China would be a good choice. We could work as translators or take on jobs related to trade."

SOUNDBITE 2 (Chinese): GYLYCHDURDYYEVA AYJAHAN, Turkmen student studying at Ningxia University
"Chinese people are quite warm and welcoming to foreigners. Whenever we face difficulties here, they're always willing to help us. The teaching at Ningxia University is excellent. The teachers genuinely care about the students, not only in academics but also in daily life. They care about us in many ways."

SOUNDBITE 3 (Chinese): ATOEV HIMMATULLO, Tajik student studying at Ningxia University
"I'm currently studying ethnology. I first encountered Chinese culture in 2011 and started gaining an understanding of it. After coming to China, I realized how high the safety standards are here, something I hadn't known before. Now, my goals are to improve my Chinese and deepen my knowledge in ethnology, specifically focusing on the legal aspects. I hope to make progress in these areas and contribute in meaningful ways. With the growing relationship between our two countries -- advancing in many areas and fostering mutual benefit -- China has made it easy for us to travel, communicate, study, and live here. Having such a neighboring country is truly wonderful."
