This is the heroic moment firefighters rescue a terrified kitten that was heard meowing inside a wall after it crawled up a pipe and became stuck.

The incident took place in Santa Luzia, Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, on October 18. The next day, local media reported that the cat had been trapped in the wall for two days.

Footage shows one of the firefighters using a pneumatic drill to chisel away at the concrete wall while the terrified cat can be heard in the background.

Eventually, the authorities reach the kitten, and one firefighter carefully extracts the feline.

Locals had been searching for the cat for days after hearing its meows, but they called the firefighters when they could not locate it, and its cries became fainter.

The kitten was reportedly found inside a PVC pipe within the wall, which it had apparently crawled up.

The team successfully rescued the animal alive by cutting the pipes. It was given food and water, adopted by a local, and is reportedly in good health.
