Helpful police officers carry drunk reveller back to his room
Helpful police officers who found a reveller passed out near his home carried him up a flight of steps back to his room - instead of wasting time taking him to the station.
Police Senior Sergeant Major Somyot Khonkhongpitak and Police Sergeant Major Sirisak Onsawat received a request from the dorm owner to check on the resident in Ayutthaya, Thailand, on October 23.
They reportedly arrived at the scene to find the drunk man lying on the ground and covered in vomit. He had been out with friends drinking whiskey.
But instead of dragging him to the drunk tank, the officers placed him on a blanket due to his heavyweight and hauled him up the stairs.
They can be seen in the video carefully moving the sleeping man, stopping on each floor before continuing their ascent.
Upon reaching his room, they said they charged the man's phone before returning to their station.
Sergeant Major Somyot Khonkhongpitak said that on the same night, they found two drunk men sleeping in their seats in a parked pickup truck and asked them to slightly open the window to ensure they could breathe properly.
He added: 'They hadn't broken any laws, they were just drunk, so we did what we could to ensure they were safe.
'Even if we took them to the station, it would have wasted a lot of time. Hopefully, they think more carefully in the future before drinking too much.'
