Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan convoy involved in a multi-car collision
An Indian politician's car swerved to avoid a scooter, resulting in a pile-up crash.
Footage shows a woman on a scooter making a right turn, causing a white SUV behind her to suddenly stop. The six escort vehicles, including an ambulance, tailing the SUV were then seen ramming into each other.
Reports indicate that the SUV was carrying Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who was returning to the state capital after visiting Kottayam, approximately 150 kilometres away.
The incident occurred near Vamanapuram in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, on October 28.
The CCTV video also captures security guards promptly exiting their vehicles to assess the situation while medical personnel rush from the ambulance to assist.
An official has confirmed that the police have initiated an investigation to gather more information about the female two-wheeler driver involved in the incident.
Authorities stated that the Chief Minister emerged unscathed from the collision, although his car sustained minor damage.
