Porch pirate steals costumes, gets chased down by determined quick-thinking girls
Newsflare Exclusive: In Bridgeport, Connecticut, a Ring camera caught a bold porch pirate in action, swiping Halloween costumes right off the doorstep.
The video, posted by TikToker @hannahtaggartt, shows the girls springing into action, shouting, “Excuse me, that’s my package, you scumbag!” as they jump into their car to pursue the thief, who was making his getaway on a bike.
When they caught up, honking and warning, “Drop them, scum!” the thief finally surrendered, ditching the packages for the girls to reclaim their costumes.
Taggart told Newsflare: "Me and my two roommates were sitting in my room while one of my roommates got a notification on their phone from the ring camera showing a man stealing our packages off our porch.
"We ran down the stairs out the front door to see him biking away with our packages. We yelled at him while figuring out what to do when we decided to get in the car and follow him three blocks down our house to then yell at him again to drop the packages or we were calling the cops.
"He dropped the packages while Avery got out of the car and retrieved the packages; Showing her getting back in the car and making sure all our packages where here, then we went home."
