Recently, in Tongren, Guizhou, coal miners were seen feeding a rat in the mine, with the rodent behaving as calmly as a pet, allowing the workers to stroke it.

The video’s creator, Mr. Feng, explained that this rat has been a longtime "friend" of the miners, and there’s a strong sense of mutual trust. In the mine, the presence of rats often indicates high oxygen levels and a stable mine structure, reducing the risk of collapse. Having rats around is considered a sign of safety.
