A fire ravaged a banquet hall, leaving one dead and dozens injured in India this morning.

An electrician was killed during the blaze that broke out at the Lotus Grandeur venue in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on October 30.

Authorities received a report at 3am, prompting an immediate response from the fire department, which dispatched 20 firefighters to extinguish the flames.

Footage shows huge black smoke billowing into the air as the flames engulf the building.

Police reported that the fire was ignited by a minor spark near the dining area. Seven individuals were present in the hall, including pantry workers and carpenters.

A worker said: 'We had to evacuate quickly, leaving behind our belongings. My license, money, and Aadhaar card are all gone.'

Local reports said that the structural damage from the fire was severe, leading to the collapse of the entire building.

Officials are reportedly conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire and prevent any future incidents.

Last November, the same banquet hall experienced a fire incident.
