Aerial footage reveals the widespread devastation caused by flooding in Spain following torrential rains from a cold front that struck the region on Tuesday, October 29.

The State Meteorological Agency issued a red alert for the eastern Valencia region, with areas like Turis and Utiel recording 200 mm (7.9 inches) of rainfall.

Officials reported that at least seven people were missing. They were a truck driver in the Valencia region and six individuals in the town of Letur in the eastern province of Albacete.

Some climate change believers claim that greenhouse gas emissions from human activities are increasing the frequency and severity of extreme weather events, including torrential rains and floods.
