Excavator rescues stranded camel in remote Chinese desert
In the arid landscapes of Yili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, located in northwestern China’s Xinjiang region, a dramatic rescue unfolded on October 26, 2024. A camel had become trapped in a deep ground crack in an uninhabited desert area.
With urgency, an excavator arrived at the scene. The skilled driver carefully maneuvered the machine close to the fissure, using the excavator’s bucket to gently lift the camel from the cracked earth.
The camel was successfully rescued, and the scene was widely praised online as a testament to quick thinking and skillful handling in a challenging environment.
