Paiporta, Spain - October 31, 2024 Spain is reeling from what has been described as one of the worst natural disasters in its recent history. Rescue workers are struggling to find those feared missing and officials say it’s not clear how many people are still unaccounted for. Hundreds of soldiers have been deployed to help with the rescue effort. Some places can only be reached by helicopter. Some local officials have complained that the flood warnings came too late, while Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said yesterday that those affected would not be abandoned.
