Footage shows 'I voted' stickers all over the grave stone of women's rights activist Susan B. Anthony.

Jessica Steele, 42, visited the grave of Susan B. Anthony in Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester, New York, on October 28, 2024, after casting her early ballot for the upcoming US presidential election.

Susan B. Anthony is known for her work in the women's suffrage movement and for helping to secure the right to vote for women in the United States.

Jessica felt it was important to visit her grave and say "thank you" after she cast her vote for Kamala Harris to become President of the United States."

And she wasn't the only voter to pay tribute - as her grave stone is covered in one hundred 'I voted' stickers - given to voters when they've completed their ballot.

She says she's "nervous" about the result - as she feels like a tight race."

Jessica, a child minder, from Rochester, New York, US, said: "I was feeling really down, I was really scared."

"I had a lot of fear going into this election and I was thinking about Susan and how much she had to go through."

"We have the right to vote because she put side her fears."

"I wanted to go there to show that we are not afraid to vote and we have to vote because of what she went through."

"It was important to her that women got the right to vote and it is important to me that democracy continues like it is supposed to."

Jessica said she is "nervous" about the upcoming election especially when it comes to women's reproductive rights."

She said: "I feel like all women should be able to have control of their own bodies."

"I feel like women are being stomped on in this election."

"I am really scared for the state of democracy."

"It is upsetting that Donald Trump is trying to take women's rights away."

Despite feeling nervous for the election, Jessica believes Kamala Harris has brought hope to the race.

Jessica said: "I have a lot of hope and I have seen that in a lot of people."

"I remember when they announced Kamala was running and there was this huge influx of relief from people."

"The amount of donations for her in the first few days was astronomical."

"I have a lot of hope that people are really going to rally around her."
