Los Angeles, United States - November 01, 2024 11/01/2024 12:00 am (GMT-0700) ONTARIO, Calif. – CHP received a 911 call around midnight regarding a traffic collision involving a tow truck on the eastbound 60 Freeway just before Vineyard Avenue in the city of Ontario. Once officers and firefighters arrived on the scene, they located a vehicle that rear-ended a tow truck on the right shoulder, loading a stalled vehicle. The driver that struck the tow truck was killed on impact, per firefighters on the scene. The driver of the tow truck was transported to a local hospital with a possible broken leg. It is unknown at this time if the driver getting towed was at the scene when the crash occurred. CHP had the number three and four lanes closed as they investigated the fatal crash.
