US: Smuggler Caught with Ten Illegal Immigrants, Including Two Young Children, in Single Vehicle
United States - October 30, 2024 On October 30, Webb County DPS Troopers arrested Jaime Gonzalez after he led them on a high-speed pursuit along Interstate 35. The dangerous chase ended when Troopers performed a PIT maneuver to safely stop his Dodge Charger. Inside the vehicle, they discovered a shocking scene: ten illegal immigrants from Mexico, including two young children aged 8 and 9, crammed into the rear seat and trunk. Gonzalez now faces multiple serious charges, including eight counts of smuggling persons with the likelihood of serious bodily injury or death and two counts of smuggling minors. All ten individuals were referred to Border Patrol for processing.
