Sot de Chera, Spain - November 01, 2024 Rescue teams continue to survey every area affected by the DANA as they search for missing individuals. Helicopters have been deployed to assist in locating those who have yet to be found since the devastating flooding began. Since November 1, responders have been tirelessly working to find the “dozens and dozens” of missing people while also providing vital supplies to survivors in surrounding towns. With the provisional death toll now at 205, including 202 fatalities in Valencia and others in Cuenca, Albacete, and Malaga, the situation remains dire as families anxiously await news of their loved ones. As cleanup efforts progress, the search for missing persons continues to be a top priority for rescue teams in the region.
